Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
I invite you to join us for the third event in our Envisioning Middlebury speaker series.
On Tuesday, July 12, I will moderate the panel discussion, “Immersive Learning and the Future.” The event will take place in Wilson Hall at 4 p.m. ET and be livestreamed at 1 p.m. PT at Mills College in the GSB Gathering Hall and at the Middlebury Institute in the Van Buren video-conferencing room, and online.
This panel features immersive learning experts Jason Merrill, Director, Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian; Robert Stepto, professor, Bread Loaf School of English; Steve Trombulak, director, School of the Environment; Patricia Rodriguez, director, School in Spain; and Beryl Levinger, professor, Development Practice and Policy Program, Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
We will discuss the value of immersive pedagogy, how it has changed in the last 100 years at Middlebury, and the consequences of an increasingly digital world for immersive learning.
Simultaneous interpretation in Spanish is available for up to 25 audience members. For Language Schools participants, the Language Pledge™ will be suspended during this event.
We hope you will join us.
